April Trail Clean Up

Thank you to all who came for a clean up day on the trail. We had eleven volunteers that came to help from as far as Chase City, Emporia, South Hill and Jared! We spent about an hour and a half from the trail end in Lawrenceville to the first bridge after the water treatment plant. Volunteers picked up cans, bottles, tires and trash, and also cleared the trail of gumballs and twigs. We had a full truck bed! That’s what we call success!

It was a gorgeous day and we made some new friends! Thank you to everyone who spent your day with us! It was such a success, we’re going to schedule them monthly. Mark the first Saturday of each month as a trail day. We’ll continue to meet in Lawrenceville at 10:00am for a brief Friends of the Trail meeting, then clean up the trail and if you’ve got the time, hang out afterward for some lunch at the Clubhouse Grill, voted #1 restaurant in Lawrenceville!

*Please let me know if you are interested in manning the trail booth for Brunswick Springfest this coming Saturday, April 18. I need one or two volunteers to set up the booth and man it from 9:00am-noon or noon-3:00pm. Thanks!
